Well, I guess I finally have to face the truth: I. Am. A. Klutz. For. Real. And it's not just when I try to use chopsticks. I have been following the Hawaiian tradition of wearing no shoes inside the house. However, I have knocked my little toe on my right foot umpteen times on the legs of the furniture in this apartment. Finally today I hit it again really hard. Now it is very swollen, with red, blue, and purple spreading into my foot. In spite of aspirin it still throbs and hurts eight hours later. I am now starting my own tradition in Hawaiian houses: wearing shoes!
