Our dog Lucky (almost six years old)
Shortly after our previous dog died we experienced the first of pretty tough times with our number two son.
Rich argued that he needed another dog for "therapy." Some studies have shown that dogs are good for the mind, soul, and heart. Petting a dog seems to lower blood pressure and produce a calming effect overall.
I like dogs and enjoy having them as a companion. My biggest objection, however, is that our dog Lucky sheds. Lucky sheds quite a bit. Grooming her helps, but not enough.
My old vacuum cleaner was heavy, inconvenient in regard to attachments, not very efficient and in need of repair. I decided to buy a new vacuum sweeper instead of repairing the old one.
I am super happy with my purchase: the Dyson Animal.
It is an "animal" in the way it cleans up pet hair. There is a convenient push button to switch the brush off and on when going from one surface (hard) to another (carpet). There is an on-board wand extension with attachments, so switching to the wand to get at spider webs is a matter of seconds. There is also a spinning brush attachment to remove hair from upholstery.
The vac has a clear canister so I can easily see how much stuff it picks up. And when it needs to be emptied I just have to click a latch, pull it off the base and empty it directly into the trash can.
I am s..o..o..o.. happy. Vacuuming has almost become my therapy.

Hmmm..housework has become fun, huh? Sounds like you should send your blog to the manufacturer of the Dyson Animal. Do you have both the upright and hand held?
Only the upright.
Dysons are wonderful - I had one when we lived in the UK.
Lucky has very sweet eyes.
