On Monday I decided that since two weeks had passed with no sign of the camera, I'd drive to Costco and see about purchasing a new one. That was one of my pressing errands that morning. I did buy a new camera. Later that day I set about registering it on-line, charging the battery, initializing the memory card, downloading the handbook, etc., etc. (How was it possible to buy a camera in the past and not have a computer?!)
Tuesday I was out and about running errands. Since it began to rain really hard I pulled out the umbrella I keep under the seat and used it as I ran in and out of various establishments. When I finally got home and started to get out of the car I dropped my car keys onto the floor. I reached down to pick them up, and . . . lo, and behold, there was the "lost" camera.
Somehow it must have gotten pushed under the seat and it was pulled out with the umbrella. I HAD searched the car (and Hubby's truck, and the house) but hadn't found it.
Now I have two cameras. Hubby suggested I could probably take the new one back--but I think not, since I've already done lots of things to it and with it (and destroyed the packaging trying to get it out) -- so I'll have a back up now. Might have been nice to save the money, though.
So, as proof that the mulch did get spread, I'm added pictures of some of the areas I worked on. Pictures taken on the new camera, this morning.
(The light areas are sunshine contrasting with the remaining shaded areas.)
(You can see that I still need to get to the deck railing!)

You don't need to go to Hawaii to see beauty - it's in your yard. Very nice indeed.
I figured you'd find the "lost" camera but now you have two, just in case.
