After rhapsodizing about "Alberta Clippers" I am now sobered by the thought of a "Panhandle Hook". They're not nice: heavy, wet snow, and lots of it. We have snow and blizzard warnings out through Wednesday afternoon.
The only redeeming grace is that misery has lots of company (cf Weather Bug, 11:45 a.m., Jan. 31). Only Honolulu . . .
