Fairly early Sunday morning I took a forty minute walk with the dog. Because it had been above freezing all week the walkways and walking trail were finally free of snow and ice.
It was a cold walk, however, with the temperature at 31°, a breeze, and heavy overcast.
By 10:00 a.m. the snow began to fall and it fell steadily all day and into the night. This morning (5:40 a.m.) there is no snow falling but it is supposed to start up again with the heaviest snowfall to be in the afternoon.
The winter storm watch goes through tomorrow morning.
I knew it was too early in the year to have the snow disappear permanently. After all it is only February.
