With the advent of cell phones one would think that people are available to talk . One would think that their own children or their young contacts (such as in a sport) would be willing to answer a call and speak directly to the person calling.
Well, I guess we all know that's not true anymore. Texting is the preferred communication over talking. So within the last year Hubby and I switched over to a wireless plan which includes unlimited texting.
What a difference! Now we can almost always get a response from our "textee"-- usually within seconds. No more leaving endless voice mails with no response.
Next time I'm up to get a new phone I'll probably get one with a keyboard, instead of using the slower alphanumeric keypad.
Have to keep up with the younger generation if we want to stay in touch.
