The countryside

Since we had a very strenuous day on Monday and I was feeling a little under the weather, we took it a bit easier today. We had a leisurely drive in the countryside. Graziano introduced us to little villages he likes to bicycle to. Most of them arose around a large villa of some lord or other. Now some of the villas are uninhabited; it takes a lot of money to maintain a large old place. The area is all agriculture, primarily corn and soybeans, with some poplar groves as well.
