Say what?

R has obtained a global loaner phone from his wireless phone provider to use while in Italy.

The information for using the phone begins with:
Your Global device will default to CDMA where available.  If CDMA is not available devices will automatically default to GSM.  In the upper banner, CDMA is indicated by "CDMA1X" or "1XEV."  GSM is indicated by "GSM" or "GPRS."
To call internationally while in GSM mode:

+ / Exit code / country code / area code / number

To call internationally while in CDMA mode:

exit code / country code / area code / number

I hope he gets this figured out before he wants to use the phone.

I should be able to call him as if he were around the corner. Whether he'll be able to answer it is another question.
